I was blessed to have been asked by Nikki, the amazingly talented designer behind Country Cottage Needleworks to finish her "Big City Christmas" series as individual fabric easels. This series can also be stitched as one long piece (details and chart placement on CountryCottageNeedleworks.com).
The fabric easel used for each model finish is available in my Etsy shop as a blank for you to add your own stitching if you choose to stitch the series individually. 
I am so excited that I was able to get this awesome piece from Stitching with the Housewives stitched up, fully finished, and added to one of my Halloween vignettes this year! I just love the farmhouse look to this piece. It's just such an amazing design!
I've also been VERY busy finishing for clients, and working on premades for my Etsy shop. This time of year is always very busy, but this year it seems to be way more hectic than usual. Happy Holiday Season, friends!
The gingerbread are back out this year, with a few more pieces thrown in of course! This year, I changed up by little by adding a stitched piece to the top, a rolling pin and a little gingerbread baker. I think it came out cute!
The top part of the shelf features "Gingerbread" by Rovaris and the bottom stitch is "Wonderful Time of the Year" by Country Cottage Needleworks. Both are double matted first with red and white large check fabric and again with holly berry glitter fabric from Joann. And they both also have large buttons with gingerbread centers for embellishments. Next year I hope to have a larger set placed on this shelf but I ran out of time and decided to just add a vintage rolling pin with a little Gingerbread baker on top to fill in a little bit. It'll do for now!

This month is absolutely flying by! Between a little family vacation and getting our new puppy, Max, I don't even know where the time went! If you follow me on Instagram, you've already met Max, but in case you don't, here's a few photos I managed to grab when he sat still for .3 seconds!
I stitched and finished the June Cottage by Country Cottage Needleworks, but without the "June" title because I wanted to be able to keep this out for longer than just June. It has ladybugs and strawberries though so it was a must for the hutch. It's a pretty simple mounted flat finish in a frame using the same fabric and ribbons as most of the other pieces that surround it.
For the tiered tray in the kitchen, I stitched up another one of the seed packets from Stitching with the Housewives and finished it like Priscilla did with the model. It's mounted on one of those gingham blocks from Michaels. I had previously finished Daisy Seeds in the same way, so I thought they'd look cute on the same tray together.
On the top of the hutch, I switched out my Bunny Bakery finish with "Beeline" by Country Cottage Needleworks.
Because it's not the same exact size, I had to make the mounted fabric behind it a little larger than the stitched piece, and then I added a bow in the center to fill in the gap. The enamel tin that it's magnetized to is in the enamel section of Hobby Lobby. They have two sizes: one says Flour and one says Sugar.
To finish up with the strawberry theme, I added a small finish of "Garden Love", one of the freebies that comes with the Stitching with the Housewives patterns. I opted to stitch it on taupe lugana instead of black, and then just swapped out the colors to match all of my other strawberry finishes.
This quick finish is just matted with buffalo check fabric and mounted to the front of this small black sign I found at Hobby Lobby in the spring section. It sits next to a galvanized watering can full of summer flowers.

Today I'm sharing two more of my Spring finishes from this year. The first was "Holiday Hoopla - Easter" by Brenda Gervais from With Thy Needle and Thread.
This piece has been through many variations of finishes before I finally settled for a mounted round flat in a watering can. In retrospect, I wish I had stitched it on smaller count fabric so the piece itself would be larger, but since I don't have time to re-stitch it, it is what it is! The galvanized watering can came from Hobby Lobby, and I just used Styrofoam for the base before loading it with some wildflowers.
The second piece is the top portion of "Tulip House" by Hands on Design.
I stitched the piece on 28 ct black Jobelan and changed a couple of the colors to bring in some aqua. I mounted the stitched piece to the buffalo check off-center because I knew I wanted to add a small galvanized vase to the side to bring in some flowers to mirror the flowers in the piece. The little vase is from Hobby Lobby and is just hot-glued directly to the mounting board. I added a small gingham bow and then just cut some smaller buds to fit inside. Really easy finish!

Today I'm posting the last two pieces I have displayed in my winter hutch decor in the kitchen area. (If you follow me on Instagram you've probably already seen the hutch in pieces.)
I finished January Sampler of the Month by Country Cottage Needleworks as a baking tin finish to replace my Baked Goods finish from Christmas. To fit the size of the tin, I had to remove the two layers of snowflakes in the pattern -- which was a blessing because I HATE stitching snowflakes. I also removed the "January" marker. I do this with all of my monthly marker patterns now so I don't have to switch them out each month. Instead, I can keep them out for the whole season.
The stitched piece is matted with some black and white gingham and attached with a magnet since I use this tin in my decor a lot. I added some flocked greenery, a bow and a snowflake button to the top to jazz it up.

The second finish was January Stamp by Lizzie Kate. I just stitched the snowman and changed all the colors to match the rest of the decor in the hutch. Then I matted it with more black and white gingham and attached it to the side of this olive bucket I found at Hobby Lobby. I needed to fill it with something, so I found these small fake snowballs at Amazon and threw them in. It's the closest I'll come to snow here in Phoenix! (No, I don't miss it if you're curious!)

I also added these adorable gingham snowmen from Gena's Country Accents on Etsy to my display this year. They're just sitting on top of this aqua stand I found at HomeGoods. I just love these little snowmen!

This piece was a relatively quick stitch because its mostly words, but I did change most, if not all of the colors. It's stitched on 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha lugana using the following colors:
Classic Colorworks: Brandied Pears, Cherry Cobbler, Caterpillar, Black Coffee
GAST: Chives, Wood Trail
DMC: White

This weekend I worked on transitioning all of my fall decor upstairs to more winter/holiday. I started with my living room shelves which took on a woodland snowy forest theme this year which means I had to say goodbye to Pumpkin Spice....
...and hello to Snow Days!
This pattern is by Country Cottage Needleworks. It's a popular one, so I'm sure you've all seen it. Besides color substitutions, the only changes I made were not stitching the bottom red and white gingham blocks, and I changed the "O" to red and green instead of the charted red and white.
I use the same frame for all of my cross stitch pieces in this display, so I finished this piece as a mounted flat and used washers and magnets. The stitching is matted with this really pretty green fabric I found as a remnant in Joann's and edged with some red cording I made. I sprayed some greenery with snow spray, and then put a buffalo check in the center. I love this piece so much!

As I continue the transition from fall to Christmas decor, I finished up these three holiday stitches this week.
I stitched up Hometown Holidays - Tree Lot by Little House Needleworks and finished it as this mounted frame piece. The frame had an old, weathered look and feel to it which was perfect!
I stitched the chart on 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha Lugana using the following colors:
Classic Colorworks: Brandied Pears, Cherry Cobbler, Steamed Brocolli, Black Coffee
DMC: 3371, White
The piece is matted with some red and black buffalo check fabric I found at Hobby Lobby, edged with some green handmade cording, and jazzed up with some flocked greenery and a green bow.
The next piece was the December monthly cottage by Classic Colorworks which I finished as a wall hanging on this gray-washed board I found at Michaels. It's matted with coordinginating fabric, edged in handmade cording, and has a bow with a wreath center.
The last piece I finished was Silent Night. This pattern can be found in Chalkboard Ornaments, Christmas Collection Part 3 by Hands on Design. The pattern is charted for black fabric, but I decided to stitch it on a remnant 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha Lugana I had left over from Tree Lot. The colors I used were DMC 3051, 816, 3781 and white.
The stitched piece was finished as a mounted ornament on black and white check fabric, edged with trim and completed with a bow.
