Happy Fourth Sheep and... Chickens?

Hello Friends!

It was a busy one in the studio yesterday as I pumped out some UFOs in desperate need of some finishing and finished up a bunch of pieces from fellow stitchers!

Since July 4th is coming up soon, I started the day finishing this whitewashed wood pallet box first. I found this box at Michaels awhile back and even though it hangs from a twine cord, I think it'd actually look cuter as a patriotic shelf-sitter.

The stitched piece is from Tiny Modernist and I changed all of the colors (see below). It's matted with faux-denim and mounted to the front of the box. Then I edged the sides with twine and made a few bows at the top before adding layered star buttons.

STITCHY DETAILS:

Pattern: Happy Fourth of July
Designer: Tiny Modernist
Fabric: 32 ct Vintage Country Mocha Lugana
Colors Used: DMC 3777, 931, 930, 731, 356, 729, 3371, White

The next thing I moved off my table were these cute little chalkboard ornaments. I stitched them on black evenweave and then finished them exactly the same way -- with black and white gingham fabric, twine cording and coordinating bows.

STITCHY DETAILS:

Pattern: Signs of Spring
Designer: Prairie Schooler
Fabric: 28 ct Black Jobelan
Colors Used: DMC 3777, 930, 3346, 729, 422, White

Lastly, I FFOed and mailed out this cute little Christmas ornament for my new stitchy friend Madeleine. I just love the tiny little beading in the tree!

Thanks for stopping by!

Each one is fabulous, Alissa! Love that train ornament you finished! Oh my stars, that patriotic finish is a winner. I think it makes a great shelf sitter.
