Hello Friends!
I finally got around to FFOing "Hello Summer" by Plum Street Samplers. Because of it's size, I had to use one of the large rustic plaques I bought at Michaels as the base, especially since I wanted to add some coordinating fabric as a background. The backing fabric I chose is a remnant I found at Hobby Lobby that reminded me of denim and I liked it for this piece because it complimented the piece without being too busy.
Both the stitched piece and the fabric are mounted to this plaque and then I just made some bows out of patriotic ribbon and twine and made a cover button center out of the faux denim fabric. I didn't stitch the words at the bottom of the chart because I didn't want to limit this piece to summer. This piece is large (over 12 inches wide) but it was a joy to stitch.
STITCHY DETAILS:
Pattern: Hello Summer
Designer: Plum Street Samplers
Fabric: 32 ct Platinum Lugana
Colors Used: DMC 3721, 931, 422, 3781, 3021, 3011, 224, White

Oh Alissa, I love your Hello Summer finish. That denim fabric is perfect for it along with the bows and covered button. I like your version without the words. Well done!
