Finishes of the Week

Hello Friends!

Another busy week in the studio with things really ramping up for Christmas. I feel like this year it's reeeeeally coming too fast. And I'm so not ready!

I started the week putting together a large order for Karen.

The first stitch and finish was this Woodland Sampling by Little House Needleworks. It's stitched on 28 count grey, tea-dyed evenweave and matted with black and tan homespun. Both pieces were mounted to the front of this white-washed easel and then I just added some flocked greenery and a jute bow with cover-button center to the top.

STITCHY DETAILS:

Pattern: Woodland Sampling
Designer: Little House Needleworks
Woodland Sampling - Cross Stitch Pattern
Fabric: 28 ct grey, tea-dyed evenweave
Colors Used: DMC 3787, 3052, 815, 3051, 937, 869, 3799, 3022, White

The second part of the order were these two wooden boxes.

On the left is "Merry Merry" by Country Cottage Needleworks, and on the right is "Ho Ho Ho" that's included in one of Lizzie Kate's Tiny Tiding sets. I matted both pieces with red and white gingham fabric and mounted them to the front of these boxes. Then I just added some cording and bows with snowflake centers.

The last part of the order were two decorative boxes.

I stitched two patterns from The Sub Rosa Design shop on Etsy and matted them with more homespun fabric before mounting them to the front of these winter-themed decorative boxes I had in my stash. I added some bows to the corners and then added small snowflake buttons.

Then I finished these AWESOME pieces by Ashley. I love every single one of them and immediately bought the patterns to start stitching them myself.

Then I finished this piece from Amanda for her laundry room. It's the "Never Ending Cycle" pattern from Hands on Design's laundry collection. She's mounting it to the front of a metal washboard. Isn't it so cute?
