Whimsical Witch Flatfold

Hello Friends!

Very excited to finally get this impromptu stitch FFOed this morning! I had no plans to stitch this piece until I came across it in my stash and it called to me. I changed around a few of the colors (see below) including her skin which I made a witchy green. Once it was done though, I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I just went with a mounted flatfold.

I realize as I assembled the flatfold that I am in desperate need for some cutesy Halloween buttons so I just opted for a matching cover button.

Pumpkin Spice Farm

Hello Friends!

I'm absolutely in love with this latest FFO using Pumpkin Spice Farm from Hands on Design. This pattern screams fall to me.

I finished it on one of those grey-washed easels you can get at Michaels and after going back and forth on backing fabrics, decided to just mount the stitched piece straight to the board and edge it with cording instead. Nothing looked right and the pattern is pretty enough to stand alone.

I added some fall gingham ribbon to the top, popped in an eggplant-colored cover button and then added a small leaf button.

A Smidgen of Halloween

Hello Friends!

Quick post as I move this cute little Halloween ornament off my finishing table.

This ornament is a sampling of the A Smidgen of Halloween pattern by Heart in Hand. I mounted the stitched piece to some black and tan homespun and then added some Halloween embellishments to the top.

Super easy but cute Halloween FFO!

First Fall Finishes

Hello Friends!

I've pretty much switched over to mostly Halloween and fall stitching right now so I was able to get some of my latest stitches FFOed yesterday.

This first piece is one of Lizzie Kate's Boxers. I thought it'd be a quick, easy stitch and it is... but I have to admit there were some parts of the pattern that I didn't enjoy at all, so as cute as it is, I'm happy its done.

It's finished as a mounted flatfold with some tan and white gingham fabric and edged with handmade cording, a bow and a coordinating button.

Pattern: Autumn Boxer
Designer: Lizzie Kate

Fabric: 32 ct. Platinum Lugana
Colors Used: DMC 3777, 3051, 356, 898, 3790, 301, 3776, 676,
3052, 422, 3031, 920, 783, 680

The second finish is a super cute simple stitch by Luhu Stitches that I finished into an ornament moutned to a small piece of rustic wood.

I mounted the stitched  piece directly to the wooden piece and added twine for the hanger and the cording. Then I just added an orange and white gingham bow with a green cover button.

Buttons Black

Hello Friends!

Finished up Buttons Black this morning by Plum Street Samplers and took a quick break from my finishing service to post the FFO!

I stitched it up on some Vintage Country Mocha Lugana and used all DMC, but changed out the purples (see below). Then I mounted the stitched piece to some coordinating purple fabric, and then mounted that to the front of black fabric as a mounted flat wall hanging. I used two small bows made out of lime green ribbon to pull out the green used in the pattern and added small cover button centers to both.

Such a cute, fun pattern to stitch and finish!

Grateful Thankful Blessed

Hello Friends!

After a rough week fighting some kind of sinus infection, I was happy to be back at it in my studio late last night and early this morning! I have a bunch of finishes for stitchy friends ready to fly off my table, but in the process, I managed to get this quick stitch done and FFOed.

My stitchy enabling friend, Robin had sent me this design as part of her pieces to be finished and I knew the second I saw it, I wanted to stitch it -- so I did. I'm planning to finish hers the same way so this was my test run. It came out super cute!
