A Week of Finishes!

Hi Friends!

I have been very busy this last week or so, all while battling a sinus infection -- it hasn't been pretty.

First I finished these awesome pieces from my stitchy friend, Robin. She is an amazing stitcher and I find it hard sending her pieces back home to her -- especially this one.

I LOVE this piece. The colors and fabric Robin chose are just perfect. I wanted to make sure it was complimented well with fabric without having the stitching lost in it. This is why I went with simple blue polka dots for the front, and a patriotic flag-themed back. It's all edged with white twist cord and finished with a bow and star.

STITCHY DETAILS:

Pattern: Sweet Freedom's Song
Designer: Misty Hill Studio (Patriotic Medley chart)
Fabric: 32 ct dirty linen
Fibers: DMC

Her other pieces were really cute ornaments.

The ornament on the left ("Red Bird) was finished as a flat ornament with a pretty poinsettia fabric backing and white twist cord. The ornaments on the right were all finished as mounted flat ornaments, edged with red twist cord and finished with small white bows.

I also finished these 12 patriotic-themed gift card holders.

Also on my desk are two UFOs from Lizzie Kate and three nearly FFOed pieces that I'm looking to finish at some point later today or tomorrow, depending on how I feel. I've also been trying to make process on my Halloween Rules so that I can actually have it on display in time for Halloween season! Wish me luck.

Thanks for stopping by!
