Pumpkin Cottage Framed Art

Today I'm featuring my finished Pumpkin Cottage piece.

I have had this pattern forever and I've been dying to stitch it but unfortunately, it's been in the pile of "larger sized" patterns I've wanted to stitch but haven't had time for. I finally decided to just pick it up and start stitching or I'd never have it done in time for the fall. Because I couldn't just stop everything else I was doing though, I decided that in order to get any larger-sized patterns finished, I would have to work on multiple pieces at the same time. It'll take a longer period of time to complete them, but any period of time is shorter than never --- at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself. :)

Anyways, it's finished and I love the way it came out. That pattern is called, "Pumpkin Cottage" and it's from Country Cottage Needleworks.

Garden Pleasures Cross Stitch Framed Art

Just a quick post to feature my new Garden Pleasures cross stitched framed piece. I mailed out this piece over the weekend and was glad that the recipient really liked it. As much shipping as I do, I can't tell you how relieved I am once I know it actually got there in one piece. :)

The square frame was originally all oak, but was a little beaten up and needed a new paint job so I opted for a base sage green and then dry brushed it a bit to make it look a little older. I'm wondering now if the color is right -- but I tend to over-analyze everything so I guess it is what it is.

The pattern is "Garden Pleasures" and it's from Little House Needleworks.

Birds of a Feather Framed Art

Finished up this piece in less than 2 days which is just the way I like it! Really cute design but I wish it had more color changes. If I had to add one more shade of brown I was going to throw it right out the window! :)

The pattern is called "Birds of a Feather" and it's by Heart in Hand Needleart. I stitched it up on 32 count linen and added some brown backing paper and a sawtooth hanger to the back of the frame.
