Christmas Custom Finishes... in July

Hello Friends!

Well, it's the third straight day of 110 degree heat here in Phoenix and I just got home from the post office dropping these custom finishes off for my new friends, Mary and Pamela. Finishing for others is trouble because every time I finish something, I immediately want to stitch it!

Mary sent me over her beautifully stitched pieces from Little House Needleworks. The top two pieces were finished as flatfolds and are part of the Hometown Holidays series and the bottom piece is "Sleigh Bells Ring" which I finished as a mounted ornament. I used the same materials to finish all three so they'd coordinate. I absolutely love how these came out and plan to stitch them up for my collection the second I get a chance.

The second piece was a TOTAL custom finish from Pamela. She contacted me and asked me to stitch the piece and finish it as a flatfold but she chose fabrics and trims from my collection. I've never finished a piece that way before, but it's rewarding to see it finished.

The pattern is "Search the Sky" from Waxing Moon Designs and I stitched it on the called-for fabric which is 28 ct Blue Spruce Cashel. Pamela chose a green Christmas plaid for the backing fabric, and we went with garland, a snow-covered tree-themed ribbon and a little jingle bell for the top. I really hope when she opens her package she loves how it came out as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by!
