Blessed Bee

Hello Friends!

It's another gorgeous spring day here in Phoenix and I'm really enjoying my morning in the studio with all of the windows open, letting the sun shine in. I stitched up Blessed Bee a few days ago and finally got around to finishing it on this wood pallet. I changed a bunch of the colors, and even though I like it, I'm thinking I'm going to change it up, or maybe just use the called-fors next time. I kind of wish it had a bit more red now that it's stitched up.

The wood pallet is from Michaels and it measures 10 x 10 inches. It hangs on a twine cord but I suppose it could be propped up in a shelf, too. I used some coordinating fabric to mat it with and then edged it with some brown twist cord. Then I added some brown and olive green ribbons to make a bow and added a floral center.

Oh Alissa, this turned out super. I really like your finish of this with the bluish fabric, brown cording and of course, the ribbons and flower along with the board. Way to go!
