Land That I Love

Hi Friends!

About a week ago, I finished this adorable little quick stitch from Heart in Hand called "Land That I Love" and ever since, it's been sitting on my finishing desk because I had no idea how I was going to finish it.

I had flat-folded it into a rectangle (after which I regretted flat-folding it into a circle) but it was a kind of odd shape so it didn't look good in any frames, and I really didn't want to finish it into an ornament.

So I chose a basket I had in my stash.

I mounted the stitched piece to some patriotic fabric, and them mounted both to the front. Then I edged it with some fancy white cording and added a little primitive star. Not too bad after all!

STITCHY DETAILS:

Pattern: Land That I Love
Designer: Heart in Hand

Colors Used:
DMC: 3032, 815, 932, 931, 839, 3046, 823, 3022, 648, 838, 937 and White

Thanks for stopping by!

I think it turned out fabulous, Alissa. I like the star fabric you used along with the addition of the primitive star. Is it a wooden star? I have this design in my pile to stitch during the month of June. Enjoy your weekend!
