Spring is in the Air

Hello friends!

Just moved another springy-themed finish off my desk and it sure does feel good! I don't usually complete a lot of pieces that are primarily pink, but -- tis the season.

The pattern is another one from Country Cottage Needleworks. It's called Bee Joyful and I only made a couple color changes, mostly in the leaves which I wanted a little bit more vibrant. I didn't finish the top of bottom border, or the words because I wanted to make sure it stayed in a square shape (the finished stitched piece is approximately 5 by 5 inches this way).

The reason I wanted to keep it square is because I already knew I wanted to use one of my newly chalk-painted frames. Much like my Easter Peep, I mounted the stitched piece to some pink fabric, and then mounted the pink fabric to coordinating floral fabric. The stitched piece has some white cording around the edges to make it pop and then I just added a pink bow with a cover button center.

The backing of this frame is just brown kraft paper, but I added a rope for easy hanging.

Thanks for stopping by!
