This Way to the Pumpkin Patch

I absolutely love, love, love this new pattern from Hands on Design. Cathy's patterns always seem to hit my style, and this one is no exception with the multi-colored pumpkins.

I stitched this piece all in DMC and made a few changes so that I could coordinate with the blues and grays from the rustic easel. When I went to put it all together, though, I felt like I was a little low on the orange tones, so I added some rust-colored fabric to the back of some gray/blue fabric that mats the stitched piece. Then I felt like I was a little low on green, so I made some cording out of DMC 730 and edged the piece with that before adding some ribbons and a cover button. Super cute fall piece!
