Latest Batch of Custom Finishes

Hello Friends!

I've been working on knocking out some custom finishes for stitchers these last few weeks with the most challenging being the Glitter Village by Country Cottage Needleworks stitched beautifully by Sam. The linen she stitched them on is the called for piece but is so much prettier in person. Just gorgeous!

I used a white glitter fabric for the mounted flatfold and edged it with white cording, and then attached the stitched pieces to the front and edged them with coordinating pastel trims and bows wit snowflake centers.

The second set was from Mary. The Prairie Schooler Santas are my absolute favorite. No one does Santas better than Prairie Schooler!

And last but not least is Andrea, my biggest enabler. I said no to these Word Plays by With Thy Needle and Thread over and over again and by the time I FFOed these four pieces for her, I kitted up my patterns and bought the same tray for me so I can finish them the same way. This is how it's been, finishing for Andrea.

Andrea and I talked about ways she could switch these pieces out each month without too much trouble and/or storage issues, so I decided to go with the magnet method so she could easily change them out each month. I do something similar with my Country Cottage Needleworks monthly cottages, and it just makes life so much easier.

I found a tray at Hobby Lobby that was THE perfect size for these pieces (so I bought two knowing I'm going to copy her) and then used different coordinating homespun fabrics for the backgrounds and then just added some ribbons and embellishments on each.

I also finished this cute little pumpkin piece from Shepherd's Bush as a flat wall hanging for her.

Thanks for stopping by!

These are all fabulous, Alissa! I love that November word play and of course, who doesn't like a PS Santa. Well done on each one!
