Blackbird Designs FFOs

Hello Friends!

I'm taking a quick moment on this sunny Friday morning to show the latest Blackbird Designs finishes that just moved off my table into the "done" pile.

This first one is called "How Does the Lily Grow" and I stitched it in all DMC colors. I made a few changes to the chart, but ultimately still decided to go with a square finish which I mounted to the top of this square wood pallet sign. There's a small hanger on this piece, but I think it would look just as cute as a shelf-sitter.

I made some cording out of the cream color in the stitched piece and edged all sides with it. Then made two bows and added them to the side, adding a small white flower to the center.

The second piece I finished it as another Down in the Valley tart. I had finished this a couple of months ago on Antique White Lugana and this time went with a Platinum Lugana instead. Everything else I pretty much kept the same in terms of cording and ribbons. This tart is still one of my favorite FFOs. The pattern is just so pretty!
