Bride and Groom Wedding Cake Toppers

Just had to share this truly unique, beautiful project created by my fellow stitcher, Marion in preparation for her son's wedding.

I had found this pattern in “Stitching Pretty”  by BHG and immediately thought it would be the perfect project for her, knowing her son and daughter-in-law were getting married in November (11-11-11 to be exact). Being the avid cross-stitcher that Marion is, she was more than excited about stitching these adorable bride and grown toppers for the wedding cake. However, what neither of us realized until halfway through was that the bride and groom’s faces, as well as the bouquet, are all stiched in petit point, creating quite the obstacle for one’s eyes.

There were times I thought she would throw the whole thing out the window, but she ultimately stuck with it, and as you can see, it was well worth it. These toppers not only made the wedding cake more beautiful, but they will serve as keepsakes Ray and Kate will cherish forever.

Thanks for stopping by!

WOW! Alissa, that's so fancy (and very detailed) stitching on these! This will be something that couple can treasure for the rest of their lives. Just beautiful.
